One Don claims his turf in Caymanas Saturday seventh – trainer Gary Subratie doubles-up

KINGSTON, Jamaica – US bred three-year-old chestnut colt One Don sent an ominous signal to all and sundry with a victory of special note in the Caymanas Saturday seventh.

One Don, who was winning for the second time in a row, was capably handled by jockey Robert Halledeen for trainer Gary Subratie. Subratie was winning his second race of the day following Rack Away's victory in the first.

The early pace was set by Go Deh Girl (Dane Nelson) and Elitist (Jerome Innis) with Hoist The Mast (Dick Cardenas) following in third in this contest over a distance of 7 ½ furlongs. One Done was held in fourth by Halleden.

Hoist The Mast went to the front while navigating the turn for home with One Done eating up the ground on the outside.

In the straight, One Don on the outside, really got going and the American chestnut colt started to motor going away to win by six expanding lengths.

Hoist The Mast was second and Elitist third.

The winning time was 1:33.1.
