Omar Walker makes it a double on Rojorn Di Pilot - Shane Ellis falls from Prince Charles

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Omar Walker piloted his second winner on the Saturday card when he got the job done on Rojorn Di Pilot for trainer Wayne DaCosta who was also earning his second winner on the day.

Racing in a Restricted Stakes for three-year-olds and upwards over the five straight, Rojorn Di Pilot who was badly interfered with when last at the track was not well away as he stumbled a bit when the gates opened. Further, the rider on board Prince Charles, Shane Ellis fell shortly after the starter let them go.

Fortunately, Prince Charles did not out interfere directly with the other runners but it was obvious that the jockeys in the race were a bit tentative.

Walker got Rojorn Di Pilot really going in the final furlong and a half and the bay colt by Liquidity – I’m Magic sped away to score by 1 ¾ lengths in a time of 59.3 seconds.

Duke (Robert Halledeen 8-5) was second with Bold Aflair (Ameth Robles 3-1) third.

Rojorn Di Pilot won at odds of 1-1.

Of special note is the fact that Walker’s last five rides coming from last Sunday to today have all been winners – on Sunday three – Stranger Danger – Harry’s Train – and She’s A Maneater plus Uncle Wal and Rojorn Di Pilot today.
