KINGSTON, Jamaica - The draw for post-positions in the seven-furlong Pick 3 Super Challenge Trophy has not produced any undue harm for the major contenders.
This race for two-year-olds will be run on Saturday (November 27, 2021) at Caymanas Park. The total purse on offer is $3.6 million.
The QUICK GALLOPER is listing as the major contenders for the Pick 3 the following horses not in finishing order as Slammer, Perfect Brew, Prncsshootingstar, and Brinks.
Slammer occupies the number two post-position and is listed by THE QUICK GALLOPER as the early favourite for the Pick 3.
Slammer, the winner of the Cash Pot Trophy can stay with the pace before coming on in the straight with his effort. Dick Cardenas aboard Slammer will have to be quick out of the gates to avoid any possibility of traffic issues.
Perfect Brew, also trained by Azan has shown marked improvement and is all set to go from gate number five. Perfect Brew has enough early speed to be with the leaders before making a strong final push in the final two furlongs.
Prncsshootingstar, disappointed on last, after winning convincingly on debut back in August. She will be shooting for revenge, and her trainer Philip Feanny will be pleased with the number 6 stall position. Expect Prncsshootingstar, with her known speed to go for the lead by her rider Linton Steadman, but whether or not she can survive seven furlongs is another matter, which only time can tell.
Brinks raced and won won his first race three weeks ago in impressive style. This Ian Parsard trainee is drawn widest of all in barrier number nine, which will allow his jockey Omar Walker time to judge his race without any interference. This is a good draw for Brinks.
