KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Caymanas Saturday second was reduced to a field of five runners after two late non-starters (Summer Sun and Stallwalkin’girl) were declared at the gates. After the eight furlongs were completed it was 1-5 favourite Night Light who got home in front.

With the zest taken out of this three-year-old and upwards Optional Claimer |$550,000 - $450,000|, Night Light (Linton Steadman) raced in a tight duel with Diosa De Oro (Dick Cardenas) as Hecandance (Shane Ellis) occupied the third slot.

Night Light took over entering the straight and was persistently challenged by Hecandance but to no avail as the Anthony Subratie trainee held on resolutely to win by 1 1/2 lengths. Third was Diosa De Oro.
