Newbies Lord Caesar, Affair, Leaders In 3-Year-Old Sprint

THREE YEAR OLDS

KINGSTON, Jamaica – It is another field of six going to post in the second race, a three-year-old maiden call on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

The distance is 5 ½ furlongs, with The Quick Galloper’s analysis provided below.

1 – LORD CAESAR is a bay colt (April 6) by Soul Warrior out of Runallday, trained by Anthony Nunes with Raddesh Roman aboard. This well-bred colt has caught the eyes of observers in the mornings. Has been timely prepared for his first engagement with two four furlongs gallops, the last of which Lord Caesar clocked 49.3 seconds racing against Royal Ash. Lord Caeser is ready to go.

2 – THE SOUL WARRIOR is a grey colt (March 21) by Storm Craft out of Amanda Panda, trained by Phillip Lee with Jerome Innis riding. Made his debut on January 1; and was a complete no-show. Needs time. Note, The Soul Warrior races with the tongue tie on.

3 – WARRIOR STOMP is a bay colt (March 21) by Savoy Stomp out of Cup O Tea, trained by Alfred Davidson with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. The most experienced of this lot with three starts under his belt. Cannot be seriously considered for a winning effort.

4 – AFFAIR is a bay colt (May 10) by Casual Trick out of Nuclear Affair, trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins holding the reins. Another well-bred colt, who is making his debut. Affair has also put in some good gallops, which have not gone unnoticed by morning watchers. Affair galloped four furlongs on January 6, clocking 48.3 seconds working with K D Strong. This bay colt is ready for action and has to be watched and followed.

5 – BANK CRAFT is a bay colt (April 12) by Storm Craft out of D’Angel, trained by Phillip Elliott with Odeen Edwards aboard. Bank Craft has shown nothing of worth in his two outings to date. A better run is not expected.

6 – FIRST OFFENCE is a bay colt (February 21) by Conquest Cherimash out of Official Report, trained by Steven Todd with Tevin Foster riding. Did not turn up for duty on January 1, listed as injured. First Offence finished second, 8 ½ lengths behind World Surprise on December 2. Let’s wait and see.
