KINGSTON, Jamaica – A new board of commissioners for the regulatory arm of racing, the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) has been appointed by the Minster of Finance, under whose portfolio the JRC falls. The new JRC board is made up of seven commissioners.
Clovis Metcalfe retains his position as chairman with former Member of Parliament Derrick Smith as the vice-chairman. Smith is a returning member to the JRC board.
The other five commissioners are Ms Pamela Wade Folkes, Mr Paul East, Ms Simone Pearson, Mr Anthony Shoucair, and Mrs Nadine Burrowes-Seaga.
Shoucair previously served on the JRC board.
