KINGSTON, Jamaica – Newly minted apprentice Ramon Napare became the second from his batch of 19 to win a race as a licenced apprentice.

The young man achieved the feat on the Michael Marlowe trained Dada’s Nala in the seventh of 10 races a short while ago at Caymanas Park.

Napare was patient on Dada’s Nala as the fleet footed Talented Tony K shot to the front like a scared hare in the 7 ½ furlongs - $650,000 - $600,000 claiming event.  At no time did Napare look flustered as he waited and waited for his time to come.

In the straight, Kiaman McGregor on Talented Tony K was still in front by a gap but Napare moved on his mount - saving ground on the inside rails to power by the long-time leader winning by four lengths.

Talented Tony K was second at odds of 7-5 with the 4-1 chance Meet Justin (Oneil Mullings) third.
