KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was expected as jockey Dane Nelson continued his relentless pursuit for championship honours when he carved out a natural hat-trick of winners in races two-three-four with victory on first time running foreigner Go Deh Girl. That effort unfolded in the Caymanas Saturday (November 7) fourth race.
Nelson, now just seven wins behind leader in the jockeys’ race Anthony Thomas, had nothing to do but keep Go Deh Girl on a straight course in the Maiden Special Weight contest (1000 metres) for two-year-olds winning by five easy lengths.
Trained by champion Anthony Nunes, Go Deh Girl allowed Nunes to stretch his lead over Wayne DaCosta to close to $1 million.
The final time was 1:01.2.
