KINGSTON, Jamaica – The second of the two-day Super Weekend of racing at Caymanas Park sponsored by Lasco got underway a short while ago with Mrs Awesome taking the first of 11 races on the Sunday card.
Ridden by the ever improving apprentice Kiaman McGregor, Mrs Awesome was taken from off the pace set by Rohan’s Cattleya (Jemar Jackson 7-5) and Emperor’s Treasure (Delroy Beharie 3-2) in this four-furlong straight dash for five-year-olds and upwards non-winners of two.
Drawn on the outside, Mrs Awesome got moving with about a furlong and a half to go powering by the leaders without any fuss, to win by nearly two lengths.
Second went to Mount Zion King (Romario Spencer 3-1) also drawn on the outside with Rohan’s Cattleya third.
Mrs Awesome is owned, bred and trained by Carl Anderson.
