KINGSTON, Jamaica – On Easter Monday (April 18), two three-year-old maiden races are on tap. The first of these races is the seventh going 6 ½ furlongs.
The race has attracted nine starters with champion trainer Anthony Nunes having three of the nine runners.
The analysis of the nine starters by THE QUICK GALLOPER is available below for the perusal of readers on QUICKGALLOP.COM.
Cottonwood Kathy has raced four times without even a murmur. This silence will continue on Easter Monday.
Great Wayne has not shown any substance from his three outings to date.
Devonte is an experienced campaigner who shows up in the early part of his races including his last effort on April 2, when he finished fourth only four lengths behind Salute The Deputy, El Cid, and Asurety. Devonte will relish the shorter distance and is a prime candidate to hit the board.
Print Quality still has a lot of learning to do.
Call The Emperor has been adrift in his three efforts to date, and nothing is expected to change on Monday. Note, Call The Emperor races with the tongue tie on.
Funometer has been here, there and everywhere in recent times with nothing of significance to account for his exertions.
Morimoto finished second on debut 22 days ago just 1 ¼ lengths behind Giant Wheeler travelling 6 ½ furlongs. That run is enough to suggest that Morimoto is ready to make it win number one. Morimoto has also been going well at exercise.
I Realise was heavily backed at odds of 1-5 on April 2 going five furlongs round and did well enough to finish second 1 ½ lengths behind the winner Bugatti. That second by I Realise suggests some progression and he should be watched carefully in this one.
Get A Pepsi returns nine days after a neck defeat by Supreme Song. That event was competed for over six furlongs, with Get A Pepsi doing his best work in the closing stage of the contest, giving the clear impression that this chestnut gelding will relish the additional half-a-furlong on Easter Monday.
