KINGSTON, Jamaica – Five-year-old bay gelding Money Monster, after persevering and learning the ropes for quite a while at the Overnight Allowance level registered his sixth career victory from 28 starts in the Caymanas Saturday (June 11) seventh run in honour of Alsafra going a mile.
With Reyan Lewis in the saddle for trainer | owner Fitzroy Glispie, Money Money was quickly out of his starting barrier and went straight to the lead.
Money Monster was consistently challenged throughout by Awesome Treasure (Dane Dawkins) but was strong and resolute in his gallop especially in the straight to win easily by 2 ½ lengths.
Awesome Treasure finished second with the 3-5 favourite Miniature Man (Anthony Thomas) third. The winning time was 1:38.4.
