KINGSTON, Jamaica – In riding his second winner on the day, jockey Anthony Thomas was at his persistent best especially in the straight as he pushed and pushed Money Call to victory in the final quarter of a furlong, winning at screaming odds of 17-1.

Money Call winning at odds of 17-1 coupled with Queens Highway at 10-1 must have sent shivers among the Twilight 6 and Pick-9 players coming as it did with a hefty carryover of $1.604,749.58 in the Twilight 6.

Thomas kept the Michael Francis trained Money Call in fourth place behind the leaders as April Spirit (Romario Spencer – 40-1) blazed the early trail in the Restricted Allowance event run over 6 ½ furlongs among five-year-olds and upwards – non-winners of two.

Justsaytheword (Ruja Lahoe) took up the running in the straight but Thomas was having none of it as he brought Money Call on the outside and was able to get up in time for the long odds win.

Justsaytheword was second with Quora (Shane Ellis 5-2) third.
