Six three-year-old maidens line up over seven furlongs in the third of ten races on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
The draw order analysis follows.
1 – BRILLIANT BOY
Chestnut colt (April 29) by Bern Identity out of Mete-Orite. Trained by Anthony Nunes, ridden by Shane Ellis. Brilliant Boy returns after a debut on December 20, 2025, that was compromised by his tardy break. He stood in the gates, lost many lengths, then closed strongly to finish third at six furlongs. That late rally suggested stamina and scope, making this seven-furlong assignment ideal. Morning gallops have been encouraging, and with a cleaner start, he looms as a major contender.
2 – MY FRIEND MICKI
Bay filly (January 21) by Savoy Stomp out of Bubbling Angeline. Trained by Gary Griffiths, ridden by Jaheim Anderson. The most experienced runner in the field, with four starts already. Twice she has finished in the placings, showing consistency if not brilliance. Her honest efforts make her a reliable board hitter, though she must raise her game to threaten for the win.
3 – BIGGER BOSS
Bay colt (January 27) by Bern Identity out of Woman Is Boss. Trained by Jason DaCosta, ridden by Tevin Foster. Bigger Boss fared well when finishing fourth in the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes over a mile on Boxing Day. Before that, he was a close runner-up to Tia Maria, who later finished behind him in the Stakes. His pedigree and performances point to seven furlongs being right. He is a colt of promise and must be respected.
4 – LONDON SPIRIT
Bay colt (February 8) by Bern Identity out of Blufield. Trained by Jason DaCosta, ridden by Jerome Innis. London Spirit has raced three times, including a sixth-place finish in the Two-Year-Old Stakes. His form has been modest, but could improve with experience. While not among the leading fancies, he is capable of springing a surprise if things fall his way.
5 – MO PAI
Bay colt (April 25) by Savoy Stomp out of Money Magnet. Trained by Richard Azan, ridden by Tajay Suckoo. Mo Pai has been knocking on the door, finishing second twice in three starts. On January 3, he rallied powerfully in the stretch, missing by only a head. That effort confirmed his liking for longer trips, and seven furlongs should suit perfectly. He is a live danger and one of the main win prospects.
6 – BLOOD DIAMOND
Bay filly (April 21) by Conquest Cherimash out of Working Carol K. Trained by Alford Brown, ridden by Omar Walker. Blood Diamond adds Lasix for the first time, a factor that could spark improvement. However, her two prior runs have been uninspiring, with little to suggest she can trouble the principals. She enters as an outsider, needing significant progress to feature.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT
Brilliant Boy, with his strong finishing debut and better trip expected, looks poised to deliver. Mo Pai, consistent and unlucky last time, is the danger, while Bigger Boss must be watched closely. My Friend Micki should once again be around the placings, while London Spirit lurks as a possible upsetter. Blood Diamond has much to prove.
