KINGSTON, Jamaica – Battle-hardened Mirabilis (Robert Halledeen) racing at odds of 8-1 and with 76 starts in her hoofs ran out an easy winner of the Caymanas Saturday second.

The Caymanas Saturday second was for horses | three-year-olds and upwards | in the Claiming rank of $750,000 - $600,000 going a mile.

On the front end when the gates opened were Zabratone (Youville Pinnock) and Dezzy The Genius (Oshane Nugent) with Mirabilis trained by Dale Murphy racing on the rails in third place.

Zabratone shook off Dezzy The Genius and was the lone leader leaving the four-furlong marker as Halledeen making use of the inside rails started to move in chase of the leader.

The two, Zabratone and Mirabilis entered the straight for the last two furlongs close to each other but the latter accelerated going on to win by 4 ½ lengths.

Zabratone was second and 3-5 favourite Purple Wayne (Linton Steadman) third.
