Trainer Peter-John Parsard has every reason to be upbeat after Manoletti Majestic made a winning debut on Sunday, March 1, 2026, despite showing signs of inexperience.

The three-year-old chestnut colt, by Bern Identity out of Gentle Officer, partnered by Reyan Lewis, powered home in a maiden special weight for native-bred three-year-olds over four furlongs. After a hesitant break and some erratic early strides, showing his greenness, Manoletti Majestic, quickly found his rhythm and drew clear, scoring by all of 7 ½ lengths in 47.3 seconds (24.1 x 35.3). Blythwood (Javaniel Patterson) chased in vain for second, while Code Red (Raddesh Roman) took the third spot.

Parsard admitted the colt’s greenness was expected:

“He was darting to the outside and running all over the place, but we knew that was going to happen. The important thing is he still got the job done.”

Parsard was quick to highlight the raw ability on display, noting that Manoletti Majestic is part of a promising crop at the barn.

“He’s very talented. We have quite a few horses at the stables that will be unveiled soon, and he’s certainly one of them. Hopefully he stays sound, learns from this, and keeps progressing.”

Parsard revealed the colt was short of work going into the race, but the team felt confident enough to let him take his chance.

“We knew he wasn’t fully ready, but ready enough to win. As long as he takes a step forward from here, we’ll be satisfied.”

With several stablemates set to appear in the coming weeks, Parsard hinted that this victory could be the start of a fruitful campaign.

“We’ve had to juggle races for the horses, but we’re optimistic about what’s ahead.”
