KINGSTON, Jamaica – It is not often that champion trainer designate Anthony Nunes brings home a winner at odds of 27-1.

The trainer and jockey Aaron Chatrie did just that in the seventh race of 11 races on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park which was a Restricted Allowance for non-winners of two (three-year-olds) run over five furlongs straight.

The Nunes charge Mamacita drawn perfectly at post-position 15 was prominent with the leaders before Chatrie moved just a bit off the outside rails where he met challenger Cairo (Anthony Thomas – 11-1), but Mamacita held off to win by a short head. Cairo was second with Raw Liquid (Trevor Simpson – 8-1) third.

The winning time was 59.1 seconds.
