Make Your Choice In Three-Year-Old Fillies Only Maiden Call

2026 3-Y-OLDS -f--

On Champions’ Day (Sat, Feb 21), the first race of 10, is designated for maiden three-year-old fillies.

This event honours Karen Parsard, the 2025 champion breeder.

Twelve fillies have been nominated to enter the starting barriers with eight of that lot being first-time runners.

An analysis of the possible winning chances of each of the 12 going 5 ½ furlongs is provided for readers in draw order.

1 – MY LADY GOLD

Bay filly (April 15) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Curlin’s Barracuda

Trainer – Gary Griffiths

Jockey – Romario Spencer

Well prepared for this first outing. One to follow in future engagements.

2 – CHARMING CHATERBOX

Bay filly (February 4) by Successful Native out of Morning Glory

Trainer – Robert Pearson

Jockey – Tevin Foster

The presence of an in-form rider lends interest to Charming Chaterbox. This marks the beginning of the learning curve for the filly.

3 – SHE’S IDEAL

Bay filly (May 14) by Sensational Slam out of Winesha

Trainer – Dalton Sirjue

Jockey – Anthony Thomas

This newcomer has been well readied for her debut. On January 31,

She’s Ideal galloped three furlongs in 39.2 seconds, and on February 7, returned 1:05.0 for five furlongs.

Early reports from morning watchers suggest She’s Ideal must be closely monitored.

4 – MY FRIEND MICKI

Bay filly (January 21) by Savoy Stomp out of Bubbling Angeline

Trainer – Gary Griffiths

Jockey – Dane Dawkins

Note – My Friend Micki races with blinkers off and cheek pieces on

The most seasoned of the lot with six prior runs.

In those six starts she has been consistent, and with significant equipment changes, could well secure her first victory.

A sound choice for the exotics.

5 – RUN VILLE RUN

Chestnut filly (January 31) by Shackleville out of Run Charlotte Run Trainer – Alford Brown

Jockey – Omar Walker

Another debutante, who will gain valuable experience from this run.

 6 – IMAGINEARIUM

Bay filly (May 27) by Savoy Stomp out of Love The Beach

Trainer – Anthony Nunes

Jockey – Tyrese Anderson

Has caught the eyes of morning observers.

Imaginearium galloped five furlongs straight in 1:01.2 on February 7, then clocked 1:03.2 for five furlongs round on February 14.

She enters this contest well prepared and should play a part in the final reckoning.

 7 – WONDERFUL VISION

Bay filly (May 4) by Patton Proud out of Dicolas Brat

Trainer – Phillip Lee

Jockey – Oshane Nugent

This outing serves as a learning experience for Wonderful Vision.

8 – QUEEN MAJESTY

Bay filly (April 20) by Strikewhileitshot out of Valley of Queens

Trainer – Edward Stanberry

Jockey – Natalie Berger

Note – Queen Majesty races with first-time Lasix

Has raced twice, showing that winning is not a realistic prospect at present.

 9 – GULFSTREAM CAT

Bay filly (April 3) by Savoy Stomp out of Burning Clearance

Trainer – Carl Anderson

Jockey – Emelio McLean

Note – Gulfstream Cat races with tongue tie off, blinkers and figure 8 on

This filly is still seeking her best form after two modest efforts.

 10 – MISS VERONICA

Bay filly (March 13) by Savoy Stomp out of Carolina Trist

Trainer – Ricardo Brown

Jockey – Rudolph Paige

In her two starts thus far, Miss Veronica has shown little of note.

That trend is expected to continue today.

11 – ONEDEGEHDEGEHLINKS

Bay filly (March 12) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Golden Glory

Trainer – Barrington Bernard

Jockey – Bebeto Harvey

A half-sister to a former high-class juvenile, Onedegehdegehlinks has earned favourable reports from clockers.

On January 15 she returned 1:03.2 in a gallop. Expected to be in contention when the race is decided.

12 – SONADOR

Chestnut filly (January 1) by Hedge Fund out of Queenofsaintrose

Trainer – Stedman Curtis

Jockey – Richie Shakes

Progressing steadily at exercise. Will come into her own with time.
