KINGSTON, Jamaica - The fourth race on Saturday, May 31, 2025, features locally bred four-year-olds and up (non-winners of four) alongside foreign-bred four-year-olds and up (non-winners of three).
Seven competitors will battle it out over six furlongs, each bringing a distinct set of strengths and challenges to the track.
1 – MAIN MISTRESS: This foreign contender seeks her third career victory from six starts. Last time out, she was outpaced by Immeasurable Joy and Brenda Boy. Against a more moderate field this time, Main Mistress should find six furlongs well within her range.
2 – BLOOD MOON: A hard-working competitor with two wins from 17 starts, but this lineup may be beyond his reach. Blood Moon faces stiff opposition and could struggle to keep pace.
3 – SMART TRICK: Has shown his capability at this level after nearly clinching his second non-winners of four attempt. Likely to dictate the early pace and force challengers to catch him.
4 – SONOGRAM: A relative newcomer to longer races, Sonogram has yet to test his skills around a bend. The race could be a learning experience for him.
5 – BATTLE ANGEL: Expected to lag behind in the early pace but will mount a strong finish. If frontrunners weaken in the stretch, Battle Angel's late charge could make her a serious contender.
6 – KING’S CROWN: Found little success in his five-furlong straight debut in non-winners of four but should appreciate the extended trip around the bend. Will vie for the lead and has a shot at lasting all the way.
7 – JUSTIN BIGTIME: Has been edging closer in previous races at this level. Will position himself just off the pace early on and has the finishing power to challenge for victory in the stretch.
