KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a case of Mahogany continuing to display his class and quality as he prepares for the Classic races to come later in the year.

After winning over 5 ½ on December 28, 2019, trainer Ian Parsard stepped up his charge to seven furlongs and with the same rider Dane Dawkins aboard, Mahogany made mincemeat of his six rivals in a Restricted Allowance 11 for three-year-olds.

Dawkins kept Mahogany in hand after a nervous exit from the gates but was still fairly close to the leaders Another Prosecutor and Nipster.

Mahogany lengthened his strides impressively – pulling away from rivals to win in the end by 6 ½ lengths at odds of 1-2. The winning time was 1:26.0 behind splits of 24.1 x 47.2 x 1:11.3.

Second was the running on Tomohawk (Kiaman McGregor – 3-1) who was far behind with third going to Nipster (Robert Halledeen – 3-1).

Mahogany was the second winner on the day for trainer Parsard.
