KINGSTON, Jamaica - After finishing a close second to Sistren Treasure over 5-1/2 furlongs (1,100m) on January 28, Jason DaCosta’s Luksol returned and went one better in a Restricted Allowance II contest for native-bred four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of four) and imported four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) over the straight (1000m) course.

At the off, Luksol (Reyan Lewis) showed good speed and disputed the early fractions with Freedom Street (Jordan Barrett) and Thalos (Trevor Simpson). The American-bred Luksol maintained her gallop well until passing the dummy rails when she changed into another gear and began to power away from rivals to win easily by 2 ½ lengths.

Champion Bubbler (Tevin Foster), who was slowly into stride when the gates opened, came through late for second place, with Power Ranking (Dane Dawkins) filling the third slot. The final time for the race was 1:01.3.
