KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fine recent form of champion jockey Anthony Thomas continued in the first of ten races on the Caymanas Park Saturday card a short while ago.

Thomas guided home 3-1 chance Luana trained by Steven Todd after the bay filly watched proceedings from the third spot as Balazo (Kiaman McGregor) set the early pace in the $350,000 - $300,000 claiming event for three-year-old and upwards run over a mile.

Luana took over with three furlongs to go and kept up a strong gallop in the final two furlongs to win by a length in a final time of 1:42.0.

Second went to the 3-5 favourite Mirabilis with Omar Walker in the saddle while Doctor Grey (Roger Hewitt – 58-1) was third.
