KINGSTON, Jamaica - The eighth ate event on Easter Monday (April 1) features a spirited contest for three-year-old maidens over the five-furlong straight course.

A field of eleven hopefuls will take their marks, with insights from The Quick Galloper presented here.

- PRINCE AMAAN is a chestnut colt by Sensational Slam, born on February 23 and out of Fashionista. Under the care of Anthony Nunes and with Reyluis Gutierrez as jockey, he has shown promising form in morning sessions ahead of his racing debut. However, his inside draw could prove challenging in the straightaway dash.

- SHELLY THE ROCKET, born on February 3, is a chestnut filly by Tapilu from My Queen, in the care of Renex Burrell with Paul Francis as jockey. She will race equipped with a tongue tie and figure eight, seeking improvement after unremarkable performances in her initial two outings.

- TORONADO STEEL, another chestnut filly, this one sired by Soul Warrior out of Miss Formality and born on February 22, is trained by Khary Tucker with Roger Hewitt at the helm. Her modest debut performance leaves her as a dark horse in this open field.

- FRANCIS is a bay filly by Savoy Stomp and Jazzy Jet, with a birth date of March 13. Richard Azan handles training duties while Shane Richardson takes the ride. Her recent seasonal debut on March 23, although falling short should serve as a solid foundation for an enhanced showing.

- BOLD SHADOW, the bay colt by Sunshine N Shadow out of Charming Beauty, born on March 25, is the most battle-tested in this line-up, having competed three times over this course and consistently showing improvement. Patrick Lynch trains, with Pablo Morales visiting to guide him. He's a strong contender to be at the forefront when it counts.

- SMALL BOSS, a bay colt by Conquest Cherimash out of Princess Sallema born on March 3, is prepared by Adrian Prince for his racecourse introduction. Tevin Foster, the current leading rider, will be in the irons, which could bode well for this colt's chances despite a prior withdrawal due to illness.

- SEA OF BLUE, a bay filly by Casual Tric out of Blue Saphiha, born on March 30, is another Patrick Lynch trainee. She will embark on her racing journey with Shavon Townsend steering and is set to gain valuable experience.

- PAPER WORK, a chestnut colt by Sensational Slam out of Abicadabby born on April 8, is under Gary Subratie's guidance with Omar Walker as jockey. Following a commendable debut on March 16, he has shown progress in training and is expected to be a decisive factor at the finish.

- NAISHINNO, a dark bay filly by Emperor Hall out of Winningitis, born on March 29, is trained by Ricardo Brown with Andrew Wright in the saddle. Racing with cheek pieces, she is not among the top picks for victory.

- FIRST OFFENCE is a bay colt by Conquest Cherimash out of Official Report, born on February 21, from the barn of Steven Todd. Phillip Parchment will ride this longshot contender.

- BALLISTIC MISSILE, a bay colt by Patton Proud 0ut of Storm Girl born on April 11, is trained by Joseph Thomas with Ruja Lahoe aboard. Morning workouts suggest potential, warranting attention from observers.
