KINGSTON, Jamaica – Third race on Saturday, July 29, 2023, is Division One of a three-year-old maiden call at four furlongs.
Nine horses are entered with The Quick Galloper providing the analysis below.
1 – SMART PLAYER is a bay colt (May 20) by Wannabeaplayer out of Gaza Sheree, trained by Edward Walker with Anthony Allen aboard. Note, Smart Player races with first-time Lasix. Did nothing of substance in his one start on May 20. Can be bypassed.
2 – CRUCIAL ALEXXYA is a grey filly (March 8) by Admiral Alex out of Crucial Cat, trained by Carl Anderson with Jawara Steadman in the saddle. A well-worn three-year-old with 13 starts already in her career. In those 13 starts, Crucial Alexxya has never hit the board.
3 – ANSWER MY PRAYERS is a bay filly (May 24) by Casual Trick out of Great Faith, trained by Christopher Pierre with Raddesh Roman aboard. Slowly finding her way, and with the field so weak, Answer My Prayers can make it win number one.
4 – TRU IDENTITY is a bay filly (May 31) by Bern Identity out of Quiet Grandeur, trained by Alfred Davidson with Richard Cole in the saddle. Cannot be given an adequate chance of winning this one.
5 – ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt (April 16) by Spieth out of Little Thunder, trained by Gary Griffiths with Reyan Lewis aboard. This grey colt enters this contest as the most experienced with 17 starts under his girth. Roaring Thunder has finished a close second over this distance on May 7, which gives him a clear advantage.
6 - DREAM WARRIOR is a bay colt (March 30) by Soul Warrior out of Dream Come True, trained by Byron Davis with Richard Ingram aboard. Newbie, who will learn. Races with the blinkers on, and first-time Lasix.
7 - SMART ASSET is a bay colt (April 27) by Bold Conquest out of Cerasini, trained by Tensang Chung with Matthew Bennett in the saddle. Starts his learning curve on Saturday.
8 – SIMPLY SENSATIONAL is a chestnut filly (April 19) by Sensational Slam out of Simply Outrageous, trained by Al Brown with Shamaree Muir aboard. Note, Simply Sensational races with the figure 8 on. Finished way behind rivals in his two efforts to date. Early morning watchers are, however, claiming that Simply Sensational has been progressing well, with a better effort anticipated.
9 – GOLDEN LOYALTY is a chestnut colt (June 23) by Western Warrior out of Sunscape, trained by Paul Swaby with Javaniel Patterson in the saddle. Still learning his trade.
