KINGSTON, Jamaica – After facing the starter 11 times, Leo, a chestnut colt by Lion Tamer – Mom’s Tamer, was finally able to win his first race in a three-year-old Maiden Condition call at one mile in the Caymanas Saturday (Sept 25) first.

Owned and trained by Patrick Taylor, jockey Dane Dawkins put Leo straight to the front when the gates opened followed by Conundrum (Linton Steadman) and Tocatbetheglory (Omar Simpson).

The placings remained the same down the backstretch with Leo pushing on around the final turn to enter the straight with a clear and unstoppable advantage.

Colorado Ranger (Shane Ellis) finished second 11 ½ lengths behind the winner with Bunksy Boy (Daniel Satchell) third.
