KINGSTON, Jamaica – It will be a day to remember for a lifetime by the Mathie family.
First, new trainer Rowan Mathie Jr earned his first win in the fifth with Jaguar. Then dad, Rowan added to the family’s joy by conditioning the winner of the sixth, Lady Abhimala, in a three-year-old maiden event going six furlongs.
Lady Abhimala received a well delivered ride by jockey Paul Francis.
