KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a runaway win by nine and a half lengths by Labycka (Northern Giant - Marine Drive), starting for the second time in the Caymanas Monday third.
Labycka won a three-year-old maiden contest travelling seven furlongs. The race was run in honour of the late former trainer Emma Chen.
For the get go, it was Labycka ridden by Shane Ellis for trainer Steven Todd who set off in front and from then was never tested.
In the last two furlongs Labycka showed her talent by extending the lead with every stride winning in a useful time of 1:27.2.
Second was Buff Bay (Javaniel Patterson) with third the position occupied by Hilly’s Vision (Dane Dawkins).
