KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trained by Byron Davis and ridden by apprentice Roger Hewitt Killer Bee stung in the Caymanas Saturday fifth.
Hewitt could not go with the early pace set by Awesome Aviator (Romario Spencer), and had to wait with Killer Bee until the stretch drive.
In the last furlong and a half, Killer Bee started to fly and accelerated with vigour to get by Awesome Aviator by three-parts of a length. Biblical Legend was third.
