KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Javaniel Patterson is finding the winners’ circle with more frequency of late and that winning trend continued in the just run Caymanas Saturday ninth.
Patterson got his mount the Gary Crawford trained US importee Victory Turn quickly into the lead in this short sprint contest.
Victory Turn increased her lead to enter the straight with the advantage and galloped quite resolutely to hold the persistent effort of Heir of Fire (Oshane Nugent) with Unknown Soldier (Aaron Chatrie) finishing third.
Following a jockeys’ objection by Chatrie against Nugent on Heir of Fire, the latter was disqualified and placed third.
So its now, first Victory Turn, second Unknnown Soldier and third Heiroffire.
This was the second winner on the day for Patterson. His first winner was Just An Illusion.
