KINGSTON, Jamaica - The fourth race of eleven on Saturday, November 2, 2024, is the Hover Craft Sprint, a two-year-old Open Allowance race covering six furlongs, featuring six juvenile contenders.

Here’s The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the participants.

1 - UNSPUN: A dark brown colt (USA, April 28) by Spun to Run out of U Needa Ride, trained by Donovan Hutchinson, with Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle, Unspun finished second by 3 ¼ lengths behind Miss MoneyPenny in a 5 ½ furlong race on October 12. Unspun was gaining ground in the final half-furlong, and with the longer distance, he should be a strong contender and cannot be overlooked.

2 - MISS MONEYPENNY: A chestnut filly (March 26) by Bern Identity out of Pomeroy’s Secret. Trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Tevin Foster, she remains the only two-year-old to have won two races this season. Known for her speed, Miss MoneyPenny lost ground in the final furlong on October 12 in a race that was a half-furlong shorter. As the leading juvenile thus far, she will be difficult to catch.

3 - LOVISA: A chestnut filly (April 15) by Soul Warrior out of Palace Gold. Trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Robert Halledeen, Lovisa was a noticeable winner by 3 lengths in a 4-furlong race on September 28. She is on the rise and should be watched closely.

4 - BADGAL CALEESI: A bay filly (January 19) by Buzz Nightmare out of Turbina. Trained by Howard Bailey, with Larris Allen aboard, Badgal Caleesi still requires more time to develop. Notably, she will be racing with Lasix for the first time.

5 - BURNING HEDGE: A chestnut filly (April 16) by Hedge Fund out of Burning Clearance. Trained by Carl Anderson and ridden by Youville Pinnock, she finished third by 8 ½ lengths behind Miss MoneyPenny on October 12. Burning Hedge is expected to perform well but may not win.

6 - ALL TOGETHER: A dark bay filly (February 15) by Patton Proud out of Storm Girl. Trained by Ryan Darby and with Oneil Mullings in the saddle, she is not considered a serious contender in this race.
