KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was the quality of jockey Anthony Thomas in the saddle which brought victory for the Patrick Lynch-trained Select Me In the first of six races on the Saturday card of July 22, 2023.
Select Me did not get away in good order from her starting stall in this seven-furlong call for four-year-old and upwards horses (non-winners of two).
Thomas did not panic. Instead, he waited and bided his time, before producing Select Me with a defining effort in the final furlong to win going away by 1 ½ lengths.
