KINGSTON, Jamaica – He was not given much of a chance of winning but trying for the umpteenth time at the Overnight Allowance grade, Jamai Raja, produced the run of his career to come out victorious in the United Racehorse Trainers’ Association Trophy competed for over 7 ½ furlongs.
As was expected Jamai Raja, ridden by a now rejuvenated Devon A Thomas and trained by Errol Waugh was with the bunch of leaders when the 15 horses competing were let go by the starter.
Thomas pushed Jamai Raja to take sole possession of the lead after three furlongs and try as the other may, today Jamaica Raja was not for the catching.
Legality (Dane Nelson) was second and Master of Hall third.
The winning time was 1:30.0.
