KINGSTON, Jamaica - In what may well be a defining performance, three-year-old bay filly Labycka took the Caymanas Wednesday eighth in style. The Caymanas Wednesday eighth was for three-year-olds (non-winners of two races) going a mile.

Jordan Barrett aboard Labycka, came down from the outside draw in the field of 13 runners to lead the contest niggled from then by Three Times Lucky (Jerome Innis).

After four furlongs were done with, Labycka started to move away from rivals but the pesky Tree Times Luck was still around.

In the final two furlongs (the stretch drive), Labycka was still pressured by Three Times Luck but with a furlong left pulled away without any further challenge developing.

Three Times Lucky was second and Iannai Links (Dick Cardenas) third.

The Steven Todd trained Labycka gave jockey Barrett his second win on the day.
