KINGSTON, Jamaica – The sixth race on Saturday, February 18, 2023, is a wide-open contest involving three-year-old maidens at five and a half furlongs.

The analysis is published below for the 14 horses entered to race.

– KISSMET is a bay filly (March 30) by Adios Charlie out of Holy Cowgirl trained by Steven Todd with Richard Henry aboard. Just pushed out of winning over five furlongs straight 14 days ago. Kissmet is quietly making progress, and has to be seriously considered, but will have to be smart out of the gates, as this is a large field of 14.

– FEARLESS REINA is a roan filly (May 5) by Fearless Vision out of Hija De Reina by Gary Crawford with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Looks good in the mornings. Not ready as yet.

– SMOOTH AVIATOR is a bay colt (March 23) by Casual Trick out of Classy Aviator trained by Jason DaCosta with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. Coming along, needs time. Note, Smooth Aviator races with the blinkers off, and the cheek pieces on.

– WHIZZ KIDD is a bay colt (April 19) by Northern Giant out of Makeyn Boy trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen aboard. Mister consistent in his nine career efforts to date. There is no doubt that Whizz Kidd is going to hit the board, yet winning is going to be difficult.

– BABLA is a chestnut colt (April 9) by Midnight Hawk out of Jennandrosesgirl trained by Richard Azan with Raddesh Roman holding the reins. This trainer usually does well with his young charges. Babla should be watched for future engagements.

– DEADLY NIGHTSHADE is a grey filly (May 7) by Midnight Hawk out of Choo Choo Blue trained by Peter McMaster with Trevor Simpson aboard. Comes from reputable breeding stock with his mother being a top-grade performer. Word from the morning railbirds suggests that Deadly Nightshade is well advanced with a favourable run expected from the connections.

– COSMIC FORCE is a bay colt (April 7) by Savoy Stomp out of Kipling Weekend trained by Philip Feanny with Oneil Mullings board. This bay colt is finding his way, with expectations growing in the camp. Note, Cosmic Force races with first-time Lasix.

– ANTARCTICA is a bay colt (April 29) by Savoy Stomp out of Jessie’s Favorite trained by Alford Brown with Oshane Brown aboard. Needs time.

– KINDRED SPIRIT is a chestnut colt (April 25) by Key To Power out of Wings of Hope trained by Anthony Nunes with Andre Powell aboard. Was with the early leaders on debut (February 5), then faded away. Should strip fitter after that initiation; time is not on Saturday.

– TRU IDENTITY is a bay filly (May 31) by Bern Identity out of Quiet Grandeur trained by Roy Matthews with Chris Mamdeen aboard. Speedy sort as displayed in his four starts to date. Has the tendency of shortening in the lane. Needs time. Note, Tru Identity races with the blinkers off.

– EXOTIC LIGHT is a bay filly (March 15) by Hedge Fund out of So Smooth trained by Gary Griffiths with Matthew Bennett aboard. Still has a way to go.

– NATURAL DANCER is a bay filly (March 15) by Natural Selection out of Goldstardancer trained by Robert Pearson with Reyan Lewis aboard. This filly has been spotted at exercise in good nick. Clockers are united that Natural Dancer is of ability and given the necessary racing luck, she will be in the fray.

– HAIL DE ADMIRAL is a bay filly (January 29) by Admiral Alex out of Hail De Cat trained by Carl Anderson with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. Hails from a camp still celebrating the debut win by Secret Admiral. Hail De Admiral has been exciting in the mornings and is expected to do the same on debut.

– ATOMIC ENERGY is a chestnut filly (February 5) by Patton Proud out of Nuclear Girl trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins aboard. The combination of trainer and jockey enhances the chances of this debutant. May hit the board.
