KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Aaron Chatrie riding Mum from the number one draw in the Caymanas Sunday sixth, a three-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) event at 41/2 furlongs, after getting a good position was unable to check the sharp cross movement of Mum from the inside of the track to the outside.

In doing so, Mum impeded Heart of the Sea (Abigail Able), with Heart of the Sea then bumping into I’ve Got Magic (Shane Richardson).

The horses passed the post in order of first Mum, second, I’ve Got Magic and third Heart of the Sea.

After a brief stewards’ inquiry, the colours of Mum were lowered with the official placings changed to: first I’ve Got Magic, second Heart of the Sea and third Mum.

The official explanation was that Mum was disqualified for causing interference and intimidation to Heart of the Sea.

I’ve Got Magic was the 4-5 on favourite.
