KINGSTON, Jamaica – The second event on the Sunday card of January 29, 2023, in a three-year-old non-winners of two contest for locally bred horses and a maiden for foreigners, featuring six starters.
The Quick Galloper analysis is provided below.
1 – AWESOME ANTHONY is a three-year-old chestnut colt (March 27) by Soul Warrior out of Antoinette trained by Patrick Taylor with Javaniel Patterson aboard. This colt caught the eye when releasing the maiden tag on September 26, 2022. Since then, Awesome Anthony has been hampered by injury issues that have curtailed his race appearances. He has prepared well in the mornings, with another competitive effort expected. Note, Awesome Anthony races with first-time Lasix.
2 – PLATINUM FORCE is a three-year-old bay colt (March 20) by Guilt Trip out of Catherine’s Dream trained by Philip Feanny with Delroy Beharie aboard. Was seen running on when he made his debut on December 31, 2022, over six furlongs. The extension by a furlong on Sunday will be to his liking. Platinum Force cannot be disregarded from contention. Note, Platinum Force races with the blinkers off.
3 – DIVINE FORCE is a three-year-old bay colt (USA – February 20) by Alternation out of Dance America trained by Philip Feanny with Anthony Thomas aboard. Just failed on debut to catch Fred The Great on December 31, 2022, at six furlongs. Then Divine Force was making ground, losing out in the end by 1 ½ lengths. He has continued to catch the eye at exercise and is poised to get off the mark.
4 – BOASEY is a three-year-old bay filly (May 17) by Casual Trick out of The Golden One) trained by Jason DaCosta with Omar Walker aboard. Held on the second time out to record her first win over the same distance of Sunday’s race. Then Boasey competed against colts and geldings, one of which, Big Guy In The Sky, returned on Saturday (Jan 28) to win for the first occasion. Boasey cannot be denied a real chance of winning this one.
5 – ALL FOR LOVE is a three-year-old chestnut filly (February 1) by Nuclear Wayne out of Princess Sallema trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins aboard. All For Love has already won going a mile, and then followed up with a strong running on effort in the one-mile Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes on December 27, 2023. This filly is progressing well in the mornings and is in with a winning chance.
6 – SHE’S MYHEDGEFUND is a three-year-old chestnut filly (March 3) by Hedge Fund out of Thisgirlisonfire trained by Jason DaCosta with Daniel Thomas aboard. Cannot manage these at this time.
