KINGSTON, Jamaica – THE QUICK GALLOPER has gone through the starters and connections taking part in the 2022 – 2000 Guineas and has put together some interesting facts and figures, which are offered below. THE SIRES
The dominant sire among the 12 runners is the Paradise at Spring Village standing Bern Identity. Bern Identity has sired four of the 12 starters in the 2022 – 2000 Guineas including Blue Vinyl, Brinks, Unruly Dude, and Perfect Brew. To add to the list of four from Paradise, there is a fifth, as The Citadel is by Key To Power, who was housed at Paradise. For the record, Bule Viny is by Bern Identity out of Blufield; Brinks is by Bern Identity out of Indian Bluff; Unruly Dude is by Bern Identity out of Wonder Girl, and Perfect Brew is by Bern Identity out of Moonlight Brew.
THE HORSES
In the 2022 – 2000 Guineas there are 12 starters, with six colts and six geldings.
There is only one unbeaten horse in this race, number 8 – Unruly Dude, who has raced once and has won once.
No horse in the 2000 Guineas has won more than two races. The horses that have won two races to date are as follows; Yellowstone (two wins from three starts); Morimoto (two wins from three starts); Power (two wins from seven starts); The Citadel (two wins from three starts); Brinks (two wins from six starts), Emperorofthecats (two wins from three starts), and Blue Vinyl with two wins from seven starts.

THE JOCKEYS
The man known as the Classic jockey, Shane Ellis, is missing in action from the 2022 – 2000 Guineas.
Of the lot of 12 riders, only Omar Walker, Robert Halledeen, and Dick Cardenas have tasted success in the 2000 Guineas before.
THE TRAINERS
Two trainers Richard Azan and Ian Parsard have two starters in the 2000 Guineas. Azan saddles Rum Puncher and Perfect Brew, while Parsard has Brinks and The Citadel.
