KINGSTON, Jamaica –  As the rains came down at Caymanas Park, jockey Anthony Thomas played the waiting game on Chief Diplomat to notch his second winner on the Saturday card (10th race).

As Schlesinger (Kawise Gentle – 6-1) went to the front to set a blistering pace, Thomas kept the Alford Brown trained Chief Diplomat (3-1) well tucked away in fourth and then came with a searing run three and a half furlongs out to blow by then leader Sir Ian Links (Shavon Townsend – 12-1), to win comfortably by five lengths.

Second was Bloodsweatandtears (Kiaman McGregor – 3-5) with Sir Ian Links third.

The event was a Restricted Allowance V for four-year-olds and upwards non-winners of three run over nine furlongs and 25 yards. The winning time was 1:58.4.
