KINGSTON, Jamaica – American importee Sir Alton making his first start since December of last year walked over rivals to win at the Overnight level in what was the Caymanas Monday closer. This race was run over the five-straight course.
Ridden by Anthony Thomas for trainer Jason DaCosta, Sir Alton broke with the pack and stayed there while tracking across to the outside rails.
When the horses entered the race track proper, Sir Alton gathered momentum and although Rojorn di Pilot tried his best he was no match for the fleet footed foreigner.
Rojorn di Pilot was second and 4-5 on Sparkle Diamond (Dane Nelson) third.
The winning time was 58.2 seconds.
