Foreigner I Am Fred with Reyan Lewis in the saddle for trainer Jason DaCosta delivered another of his imposing efforts to win the Caymanas, Saturday, April 22, 2023, seventh, run in honour of the legendary thoroughbred The Viceroy.
In making it three wins from three starts in 2023, Lewis kept I Am Fred in third place as his stablemate King Arthur acted as the pace rabbit with Mahogany (Dane Dawkins) close by in second.
When Mahogany made his move with 3 ½ furlongs left in the one mile contest, Lewis asked I Am Fred to do the same, and from then it was obvious that he would go home with the trophy. Calculus ran on for second, with Mahogany third.
