I Am Fred leads 1-2-3 finish for trainer Jason DaCosta in Derby Day nightcap

KINGSTON, Jamaica – After losing the Jamaica Derby in the race before, trainer Jason DaCosta rebounded to finish first – second and third in the Caymanas Derby Day eleventh race.

DaCosta watch with pride as I Am Fred (Phillip Parchment) rallied in deep stretch with a searing run to beat long time leader Baton Rogue (Anthony Thomas) while It's A Boy (Kiaman McGregor) also running on filled the third slot.

The DaCosta one-two-three finish was accomplished in a three-year-olds (non-winners of two) contest going 6 ½ furlongs.
