KINGSTON, Jamaica – On a wet track, High Diplomacy closed the nine-race programme at Caymanas Park today (Oct 2) for jockey Robert Halledeen and trainer Patrick Lynch at starting odds of 5-1.

High Diplomacy victory came in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) contest going 7 furlongs.

From the gates opened the race turned out to be a two-horse affair as Kholbear (Youville Pinnock) and High Diplomacy were locked together. For most of the time it was Kholbear with the advantage but High Diplomacy was not in the giving-up mode.

Kholbear had the lead in the straight but Halledeen kept High Diplomacy close by and in a ding-dong tussle got to the line by a neck. Sweet N Smart ran on for third.
