KINGSTON, Jamaica – Despite racing wide in the straight, Heroine was able to gather herself under strong handling by jockey Chalrick Budhai to release the maiden tag in the Caymanas, Sunday, June 25, 2023, first.
That event was a maiden condition call for four-year-olds and upwards horses at 5 ½ furlongs. The race was further limited to jockeys and apprentices who did not win a race since January 1 of this year.
Heroine is owned and trained by Barrington Bernard.
