KINGSTON, Jamaica - The nine-race meet of Monday, October 21, 2024, has been officially abandoned by the officiating stewards after the running of the day’s second race.
The official announcement of the cancellation issued on the public address system is as follows:
“Due to unrest following a stewards’ decision after race two at Caymanas Park today, October 21, 2024, Heroes Day, which led to safety concerns for all the horses, horsemen, punters and all attendees, all remaining races on the day have been abandoned by the Jamaica Racing Commission’s stewards.
Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment and Entertainment Limited apologises for any inconvenience.”
