KINGSTON, Jamaica – Although the racing dance floor is wet at the moment, Hecandance racing in a Maiden Special Weight for three-year-olds going down the five straight showed his 10 rivals a clean pair of heels as he romped to victory in the eighth of 10 races on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park.
Trained by Owen Sharpe and ridden by Trevor Simpson, Hecandance took control of the event after a furlong was run and thereafter held his gallop to win in commanding style by 4 ¼ lengths.
Second was Will To Live (Matthew Bennett – 24-1) with Supper Stunner (Samantha Fletcher – 5-1) third.
The winning time was 1:00.3.
