KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a stirring battle inside the last furlong, Cup A Soup (Dick Cardenas) ran out as the 8-5 winner of the Caymanas Monday second.

The Caymanas Monday second was for four-year-old and upwards horses (non-winners of two races) going five furlongs straight.

Trained by Steven Todd, Cup A Soup was always prominent as the 4-5 favourite Duke of Springs (Raddesh Roman) set the early splits.

Crossing over to the main track, four horses were bunched up on the lead - Cup A Soup, Dor The Butcher (Jordon Barrett), and Rain Drops (Odeen Edwards) all in contention.

Inside the last half a furlong, it was now a straight duel between Cup A Soup and Dor The Butcher with the former winning by three parts of a length.

Third went to Duke of Springs.
