KINGSTON, Jamaica –  "I have to thank the trainers, the grooms, and everyone associated with the horses I rode on Saturday (September 16) to achieve five winners," said leading rider Reyan Lewis after bringing home five victories out of ten races that day. His winners included Phenomenal One, Geolithic, Wayne's Princess, Is That A Fact, and Luksol.

Four of those winners—Phenomenal One, Wayne's Princess, Is That A Fact, and Luksol—are trained by Jason DaCosta, while Peter-John Parsard is the conditioner for Geolithic.

"Riding five winners is never a simple task. It requires significant effort not only from me as the jockey but also from the trainers and grooms. As a jockey, it takes hard work and concentration not just on race days but also during morning exercises. I must ensure that I follow the trainers' instructions and familiarize myself with the horses as much as possible," Lewis added.

Regarding gaining ground in the jockeys' championship against his closest rival Dane Dawkins, Lewis expressed satisfaction with his progress. "Winning the championship would be a significant achievement for me. As a jockey, you always strive to reach the top of your game, and for us, that means winning the championship."

"Yes, that is important but producing winners for the trainers and owners who give you rides is even more crucial for all of us as riders. I always strive to give my best every time I mount up," concluded the leading rider.
