KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fourth race of six on the Saturday card of July 22, 2023, at Caymanas Park, is a three-year-old non-winners of two for local horses and a maiden for three-year-old foreigners.

Eight horses will race over five furlongs round, with The Quick Galloper providing the analysis below for readers.

This analysis is done in draw order.

1 – SMOOTH AVIATOR is a bay colt (March 23) by Casual Trick out of Classy Aviator, trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Allen aboard. A recent member of the non-winners of two club, and has not come to terms with this level.

2 – RUNNING GLORY is a bay filly (USA April 2) by The Big Beast out Talent N Speed, trained by Jason DaCosta with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Returned from a long break on June 10; then finishing third, 4 ¼ lengths behind the winner. On June 24, Running Glory stumbled at the start, losing any chance of winning. Saturday's journey is right with Running Glory expected to make one lift to the winning post.

3 – SPEEDIE HARE is a bay filly (April 1) by Conquest Cherimash out of Honeymoon Bay, trained by Christopher Pearson with Abigail Able aboard. Got off the mark in January and since then has failed to get close to winning a second time.

4 – PRETTY CAROLINE is a bay filly (USA February 5) by Flintshire out of Caroline Victoria, trained by Patrick Lynch with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. Note, Pretty Caroline races with the blinkers off. This foreigner in seven starts is yet to demonstrate anything of worth. Pretty Caroline has to produce a complete reversal of form to win this one.

5 – JOY IS GOLDEN is a bay filly (USA April 30) by Golden Cents out of Sylvan Light, trained by Patrick Lynch with Jordan Barrett aboard. Joy Is Golden has made four career starts showing in and out of form. With no terrors present in the line-up, this filly is given the best opportunity of earning her first victory.

6 – CITY HAWK is a bay filly (February 8) by Midnight Hawk out of Magic City, trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. City Hawk will have difficulty dealing with these rivals.

7 – BURLAP is a bay colt (March 18) by Casual Trick out of Fedora, trained by Richard Azan with Allen Maragh aboard. Note, Burlap races with the tongue tie on. This colt is difficult to assess and needs more time to find himself.

8 – CALIFORNIA GOLD is a bay colt (April 6) by Lion Tamer out of Blue Saphira, trained by Patrick Lynch with Ramon Nepare in the saddle. Has no realistic chance of winning.
