KINGSTON, Jamaica – On Sunday, December 17, 2023, the third race will feature two-year-old maidens covering a distance of 6 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper reviews the prospects of the six contenders below.

1 - VALLEY OF LOVE, a bay filly (March 30) by Spieth out of May Flower, trained by Phillip Elliott and ridden by Omar Walker. She's been progressing in her morning workouts. However, she might not be ready for a winning performance just yet.

2 - LADY LAUREN, a bay filly (February 27) by Deputy Glitters out of Anna, trained by Steven Todd with Raddesh Roman on the reins. Notably, Anna has already produced runners like Anna Lisa, Subbie, and Salah. Lady Lauren shows promise in her morning training and has captured the attention of many observers. She is well-prepared for her first run and has an even chance of winning.

3 - BANK CRAFT, a bay colt (April 12) by Storm Craft out of D'Angel, trained by Phillip Elliott with Odeen Edwards as the jockey. He failed to impress in his debut run on October 29 and isn't expected to fare better this time. 

4 - OIL MACHINE, a chestnut colt (January 28) by Bern Identity out of Keep The Faith, trained by Phillip Elliott with Tevin Foster on board. Notably, Keep The Faith has produced winners like Wifey Sez So, Vanquisher, and Bootylicious. This first-timer is reportedly progressing well during exercise sessions and his team anticipates a strong debut performance.

5 - INTRESTNTIMESAHEAD, a bay colt (February 8) by Bold Conquest out of My Friend Lucy is trained by Jason DaCosta with Phillip Parchment as the jockey. On his debut (December 2) at 5 ½ furlongs, he finished third by six lengths behind Grecian Light. Considering the experience from his previous run, Intrestntimesahead is favoured to win this race.

6 - WORLD SURPRISE, a bay colt (April 17) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Eighteen Karat, trained by Anthony Nunes with Paul Francis in the saddle. Notably, Eighteen Karat has previously produced successful runners like Dontae, Necromancer, Don Almighty, Task Force, Devonte, and Anonymous. World Surprise is said to be steadily improving during morning workouts and is expected to deliver a solid effort.
