KINGSTON, Jamaica – Ten horses will enter the starting gates in the ninth race on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
They will race over six furlongs in a three-year-old, non-winners of two call.
The Quick Galloper’s assessment is given below.
1 - STEIN is a bay colt (born April 20) by Bern Identity out of Ruby Rose, trained by Gary Subratie and ridden by Dane Dawkins. Note that Stein races without a visor and with blinkers on. He has shown determination since entering the non-two category on August 7. Stein excels in the final part of races, and with the expected speed, cannot be dismissed from contention.
2 - GOLDEN LOYALTY is a chestnut colt (born June 23) by Western Warrior out of Sunscape, trained by Paul Swaby and ridden by Paul Francis. Notably, he races without a visor and with blinkers on. Golden Loyalty is still adjusting to the non-winners of two environment.
3 - BLINKIN LIGHT is a bay colt (born April 12) by Patton Proud out of Storm Girl, trained by Gary Griffiths with Chris Mamdeen riding. He has been competing in this group for some time. Blinkin Light performs well at six furlongs, and considering his stable's current form, he should be taken into account.
4 - MANOUSHE is a grey colt (born April 18) by Spieth out of Regency, trained by Richard Azan with Robert Halledeen aboard. Manouche has consistently improved in this grade. Six furlongs is an ideal distance for him, and he has a strong chance of winning race number two.
5 - SLAM DUNK is a bay colt (born March 9) by Sensational Slam out of Akela, trained by Colin Ferguson with Matthew Bennett riding. His form has declined recently, so he can be disregarded.
6 - MISS LYNTON is a chestnut filly (born February 13) by Nuclear Wayne out of Aguila, trained by Robert Ffrench with Ramon Nepare aboard. She hasn't shown enough potential to be considered.
7 - NATURAL DANCER is a bay filly (born March 15) by Natural Selection out of Gold Star Dancer, trained by Gary Subratie with Raddesh Roman riding. She was only just defeated in her last race by Hot Stepper at 5 ½ furlongs. Natural Dancer is currently in good form, and based on that performance, she's ready for another shot at the winners' circle.
8 - LADY PAULA is a bay filly (born April 10) from the USA by Firing Line out of Poppi's Peach, trained by Ryan Darby with Oneil Mullings aboard. Notably, Lady Paula races without a visor. She isn't quite ready to challenge these competitors yet.
9 - KEM is a chestnut colt (born June 29) by Here Comes Ben out of Lost Springs, trained by Paul Swaby with Romario Spencer riding. Kem is gradually adapting to non-two racing. This colt will enjoy the six-furlong distance, as he can stay close to the leaders before making his move. Kem is a feasible option in this race.
10 - SKYRIZI is a chestnut colt (born April 1) by Tapilu out of Who's Bossy, trained by Donovan Plummer with Jordan Barrett aboard. He can be ruled out as a winning contender.
