KINGSTON, Jamaica - The ninth race on Saturday, June 29, 2024, is Division Two of the Hubert Bartley Memorial Trophy, which is for three-year-olds and horses competing at the Overnight Allowance level over seven furlongs.
Nine horses are entered, and below is the assessment for each one by The Quick Galloper.
- FRED THE GREAT has shown potential in the Overnight Allowance, finishing second and fifth in previous races. Despite carrying extra weight, Fred The Great is considered a strong contender for the win.
- CHAMPION BUBBLER has been consistently backed in Overnight races but is yet to secure a win. However, with some changes in equipment and a slight weight advantage, she could be a strong competitor in this race.
- POSING ALREADY is transitioning from claiming races to Overnight Allowance. However, given his recent form and lack of success in previous races, his chances of winning are slim.
- STORM is a claimer who may struggle at this level.
- SUNSET SILHOUETTE has been competing in Overnight races for a while with no success. This race presents a good opportunity for her to achieve a breakthrough victory.
- ALL FOR LOVE has had mixed results in her recent races but has previously beaten Fred The Great in non-four races. With a good jockey and suitability for the distance, she is expected to be in contention for the win.
- BIG ARGUMENT is not considered a strong contender.
- CURLIN’S FLIGHT is better suited for claiming races.
- PROVOCATIVA has previously tried Overnight races without success and has been more effective in claiming races.
